On Saturday night Jacob Holmes and Darren Ng lead their Sturt Sabres to a grinding victory over the West Adelaide Bearcats in the CABL Grand Final. Holmes was named the GF MVP as he had a massive game of 22 points, 24 rebounds and 10 assists. Darren Ng finished with 19 points and 36ers training squad member Tom Daly was particularly impressive as he finished with 26 points.
In Western Australia, Daniel Johnson lead the Willetton Tigers to a 107 – 96 victory over the Lakeside Lightning in the Western Australia Grand Final. Johnson finished the game as high scorer with 37 points at 46% as well as adding 9 rebounds and 5 assists.
In SEABL fan favourite Nathan Herbert led Geelong to a 99 – 87 victory over Hobart. Herbert top scored for the Supercats by scoring 23 points at 50% including 3 / 6 three’s. This victory means Geelong have won the Southern Conference title and will now play one more game to become national champions.
