Hometown hero Stephen Weigh had the parochial home crowd rocking after emerging victorious in the Three-Point Shootout during NBL All-Star festivities at Adelaide Arena on Saturday.
The Adelaide 36ers' long-range marksman scored 18 in the final to outshine veteran Townsville Crocodiles sharpshooter Peter Crawford (17).
Weigh drilled all five double-priced money balls to set a competitive target, which Crawford, who missed his first five, was always under pressure to match, despite finishing strongly.
Earlier, Crawford was the highest qualifier with a preliminary score of 18, including seven in a row at one stage.
Townsville's Clint Steindl was on-fire from the top of the key, shaky elsewhere en route to a score of 14, which was matched by slow-starting Wollongong Hawk Oscar Forman and Sydney Kings star Ben Madgen, who nailed his first three before fading slightly in front of his former home crowd.
A wobbly Weigh clunked his last five shots in the first round, but his score of 15 - including a perfect five-of-five from the left elbow - proved enough to surpass Steindl, Madgen and Forman.
Opening proceedings in the final, Weigh's money ball proficiency was enough to down Crawford, who was easily the best qualifier.
