Tall Black's big man Casey Frank is set to return to the NBL court when he joins the New Zealand Breakers squad to provide some assistance up front.
The Breakers are sporting a thin front court after starting centre Alex Pledger went down with an ankle injury which will keep him on the sidelines once again.
Frank, who features as a colour commentator on SKY NZ's television coverage of the NBL will return to the Breakers after playing for them during their debut season in the NBL, and then again in 2005.
In addition to the Breakers, Frank has also suited up for the West Sydney Razorbacks, Wollongong Hawks and most recently the Gold Coast Blaze. During his six previous seasons and 109 games in the NBL, Frank has career averages of 9.7 points and 6.0 rebounds per game on 54.6% shooting.
Since the 2009/10 season, Frank has been plying his trade in the NZNBL with Wellington Saints. During the 2013 NZNBL season, he contributed 14.4 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per contest.
In addition to this, Frank has been a proud Tall Black's representative since 2006, suiting up the New Zealand in 2006 and 2010 FIBA World Championships.
Frank has joined the Breakers in training this week and is set to travel with the team for their clash with Melbourne on Friday night.
