WHAT: Gold Coast Blaze cheerleader launch
WHERE: The Envy Hotel, Broadbeach
WHEN: Saturday 4th September 2010
TIME: 6.30-8.30pm
The Gold Coast Blaze will unveil the final Inferno Dance Squad for the 2010/11 NBL season at a lavish launch party on Saturday night.
The final two positions of the exclusive dance troupe will be announced at the function after a recent public audition narrowed the contestants to 10 select dancers.
All 10 shortlisted ladies will join the original squad, which headlined game night entertainment at the Gold Coast Convention Centre last season, for the first official off-court event of the new season.
Once the final two are chosen the new Inferno Dance Squad will be publicly unveiled for the first time.
Gold Coast Blaze players including captain James Harvey and established stars Chris Goulding and Anthony Petrie will attend the event with coaching staff.
Blaze Marketing executive Kyle Willebrands said the club intends on transforming the dance squad into their own brand.
''The dancers will be a key facet of our marketing, game night and community programs,'' he said.
''That's why we opened auditions to the public to ensure we had a broad selection of not only talented dancers, but girls who were committed to progressing the Blaze brand.''
''It's our intention the Inferno Dancers will become a popular part of the Gold Coast Community.''
All media are invited to attend the function. It will present numerous opportunities for social photographs and interviews for colour stories.
