The most experienced big-man in the NBL, Hoare will instantly become a leader among the Blaze roster. Points, rebounds, blocks, defense, hustle, intensity; whatever the Blaze needs, Hoare will be the man to deliver. Hoare does the little things that all coaches love, and while he won’t usually be the team’s leading scorer, he can be the one who hurts the other team the most. Has the size to fill space underneath the basket and can also shoot and defend on the perimeter. An invaluable addition to the Blaze for 2010/11 with his veteran savvy and intelligence.
 
One of the most decorated active players in the NBL. Has won two championships as a starter with the Melbourne Tigers in 2006 and 2008. Played in losing grand finals in 2007 and 2009. Two-time winner of the NBL Sixth Man of the Year award and a 2004/05 NBL All-Star. The Blaze looks to be the last stop in Hoare’s NBL career which has spanned five clubs and fifteen years.
