Player Profile

Garlepp is an unrealised talent that coach Joey Wright has had his eye on for some time. When Wright got the chance to sign the versatile youngster, he pounced. Garlepp can fill holes on the frontline and in the backcourt. At 6’8” he has the size to play inside but is an excellent shooter from anywhere on the floor. Has never received a proper opportunity at NBL level before. Largely unknown to fans, Garlepp could be one to surprise this season.

Garlepp has played just 39 NBL games for the Perth Wildcats and Adelaide 36ers. A stint in the United States with the University of California saw him register season highs of 16-points and seven rebounds as a freshman. Played for the AIS in the SEABL and led the league in blocked shots in 2003. Averaged 12 points and 10.5 rebounds per game for AIS in the Australian under-20 championships. Was named Perth Wildcats Young Player of the Year for season 2007/08. A prodigious talent as a youngster, Garlepp dominated for the Perry Lakes Hawks in Western Australia with 27.1points, 11.2 rebounds and 4.4 assist per game last season.
