How do talented young basketballers take the next step along the way towards playing at the highest level?
For many kids it is a case of working out on their own, in their own driveway or in a deserted court.
The Breakers are looking to entice these children to attend Breakers clinics, for five days during the school holidays budding young basketballers will be put through their paces by the NZ Breakers running them through different drills and games, while teaching them to be better basketballers.
The clinics will be held from 9am to 3pm during the week and will run during the school holidays that occur during the Breaker’s season. The clinics will run all day for the benefit of parents who have to work.
Each child who attends a Breakers clinic will receive a Breakers basketball and champions programme skills manual to take home and continue their development.
Advertising for these clinics will be at NZ Breakers given to local community centers and to local basketball associations across Auckland.
The Next Scheduled clinic is early Jan 2010.
