SKYCITY Auckland is building on the success of its Federal Street bar and fabulous restaurant precinct making it ‘the’ place to be this Christmas. The inaugural lighting of Federal Street for Christmas saw 30,000 stunning Christmas lights spanning Federal Street in magical waves that stretch three kilometres in total.
The festive lights were officially turned on last night by New Zealand’s much loved media celebrity Paul Henry. SKYCITY Breakers BJ Anthony, Josh Bloxham and Dion Prewster attended last night’s festivities together with members from the Blues and the Vodafone Warriors. At the same time the Sky Tower transformed into its Christmas colours sporting a green stem, a red top and a sparkle over the top of the actual tower mimicking a star at the top of a Christmas tree.
