The Townsville McDonald’s Crocodiles are confident of securing a 3-0 season whitewash against the Adelaide 36ers when they travel to the South Australian capital this Sunday.

Sunday’s encounter will be the Crocs first visit to Adelaide Arena this season and they will look to add a road victory to the two comfortable home wins they’ve enjoyed over Adelaide at ‘The Swamp’ this season.

The Crocs hold an unbeatable lead in their season series against the ‘Sixers and will look to add another series win to their list of casualties this season.

Having already swept the Wollongong Hawks three games to nil this season, the Crocs will look to further improve their record against lower-placed teams with a big win on Sunday in Adelaide.

Townsville also hold an unbeatable 3-0 lead against Sydney this season, which they will look to stretch to four when they tackle the Kings on the road later on this month.

The Crocs impressive record against these teams is better than that of the top two ranked teams in the league with both the New Zealand Breakers and Perth Wildcats slipping up against the competition’s underdogs this season.

New Zealand’s only home loss of the year to date came against the Hawks in round six and the high-flying Perth Wildcats have fallen twice to the 36ers this season.

With the exception of their series against the second-laced Wildcats, the Crocs are still in a winning position in all their season series this year, with the results of these games to decide who will win out in the battle for an-all important spot in the play-offs.

The season series is used as a tiebreaker if teams finish with identical records and the Crocs battles with the Gold Coast Blaze and Melbourne Tigers are currently tied up at one apiece with the finale to be played out in the following weeks.

The Cairns Taipans hold a 2-1 lead over the Crocs with the Crocs needing a win in their battle at ‘The Swamp’ next week to claim bragging rights in the North Queensland derby. They are also down 1-0 to New Zealand but can rescue the series with a 15-point win over the breakers in the penultimate game of the season on the Friday March 23.
