Right in the middle of the 2016 NBA Finals, the Golden State Warriors currently lead the Cleveland Cavaliers 2-1!
Get the lowdown from some of the NBL head coaches and see who they think will come out on top!
Joey Wright, Adelaide 36ers
The Golden State Warriors because they are more of a team!
Game six of the Western Conference Finals was the most unbelievable basketball game I have ever seen.
I was actually hoping OKC won, but it was such a great game that I was just happy to be able to witness something like that.
I don’t think we will see another shooting game like that in another 20 years, and I think their streak will be too strong for Cleveland to overcome.
Andrej Lemanis, Brisbane Bullets
I’m going to be boring and sit firmly on the fence. I’m the national coach and I’m going to support both of our Australians!
Either way Australia wins, so I’m happy with either outcome!
Aaron Fearne, Cairns Taipans
I think the Warriors will take the series in six games. Their ability to play small ball and ability to shoot the ball and their smaller bigs’ ability to make plays will put the Cavs under pressure.
Golden State is also a little more playoff-hardened to-date, whereas I don’t think Cleveland has been really tested yet in the playoffs.
Rob Beveridge, Illawarra Hawks
Golden State are my team! The Warriors played with so much character and heart during the playoffs – even when they were down.
Of course, as his former coach I am particularly wrapped for Bogut and would love to see him get another ring.
But I always said whoever won the Western Conference would win the Championship, and I still think that is the case.
Dean Demopoulos, Melbourne United
It’s really even. They are real good both teams.
I will go with the Warriors in seven games only because they are the Champions.
This is my favourite time of the year – I love watching the Finals!
Paul Henare, New Zealand Breakers
I’m going for the Warriors – they are just too deep!
They have multiple players playing well at the right time.
Plus, they beat OKC so they must be good!
Andrew Gaze, Sydney Kings
I’m going to say the Golden State Warriors but not with a whole lot of confidence.
I think that the fact that they went 73 and 9 indicates that they should be the favourites and I think their perimeter shooting will be the factor.
I think that defensively last year they showed they can do enough, and I think this year they have continually showed they are marginally better.
