Travis Trice heads south, joins Brisbane Bullets

American guard Travis Trice has signed with the Bullets for the 2017/18 NBL Season.

Trice joins the new-look Brisbane guard line up off the back of an impressive season with Cairns Taipans, taking out the Club’s 2016/17 MVP Award.

Recognised for his speed, scoring and strategic playmaking, Trice averaged 14.62 points, 3.46 assists and 1.23 per steals game last season, his first in the NBL.

The 6’2 Springfield, Ohio native has previously spent time in the NBA D-League with Westchester Knicks and playing college basketball with Michigan State University on the biggest stage at the NCAA Final Four.

Following his year with Cairns, Trice returned to the Knicks in the D-League where he averaged 21.1 points and 6.4 assists in nine games to end the season.

Trice will head to the NBA Summer League prior to heading to Brisbane where he will play alongside Thon Maker at the Milwaukee Bucks.

Head Coach Andrej Lemanis is excited about adding Trice to the Bullets roster.

“Travis is a competitor; he likes to take on a challenge. He brings us real speed, the ability to get in the lane and make defences react, and he can make plays for himself or his team mates – he is the sort of player that makes his team mates better with what he does on the court.”

Trice joins Adam Gibson, Stephen Holt, Mitch Young, Reuben Te Rangi, Shaun Bruce, Tom Jervis, Daniel Kickert, Matt Kenyon, Torrey Craig and Anthony Petrie on the Bullets roster of contracted players.
