NRE Hawks in the Community
As a new community based club one of our main goals is to deliver quality and well supported programs within the community. We aim to continue in the foundations of the club by delivering outstanding and quality programs in the community.
We see the community as the most important aspect of our club and we are looking forward to engaging with the community of the Illawarra through a variety of programs, promotions and events this season.
This year the club will be delivering a number of programs and holding a large number of events that will engage the community of the Illawarra and not only promote basketball but also provide a customer focused partnership for our commercial partners and a vehicle for government agencies to deliver important positive messages on social issues affecting the community.

Wollongong Hawks Basketball Limited was founded in 2009 on the loyal support of the Wollongong ahm Hawks supporters and the greater community of the Illawarra. We endeavour to deliver and create programs for the community of the Illawarra and give back to those that have helped the ahm Hawks continue to compete on a national level.
One of our goals is to work with the Illawarra Basketball Association on developing a partnership that will create pathways on fostering the development of our up and coming youth players. These pathways will assist us on identifying local talent and giving them the opportunity to play for the Wollongong ahm Hawks in the future.
