Wollongong NRE Hawks very own Oscar Forman has taken out the National Basketball League’s Player of the Week honours for Round 19 of the iiNet NBL Championship following Saturday night’s convincing 80-64 win over NBL ladder leaders New Zealand Breakers.

Forman scored 29 points and added seven rebounds as he racked up 21 points in the first half to help the Hawks to their win.  He was a perfect seven-of-seven from three-point territory for the match as he also made 11-of-12 field goals at an astonishing 92% shooting clip.

The Hawks, still relishing the win over the weekend, are working hard with preparations in full swing for their next game this Thursday in New Zealand against the Breakers on their own turf.

Wollongong NRE Hawks next home game is on Friday 24th February against the  Gold Coast Blaze at WIN Entertainment Centre, tip off at 7.30pm.
