lllawarra Residents Invited to Join in Wollongong Hawks and McDonald’s Partnership Celebrations.
To celebrate their 10 year partnership with the Wollongong NRE Hawks, McDonald’s restaurants in the Illawarra will be giving away mini basketballs with any transaction while stocks last, and the chance to meet some of the players this weekend.
Between 12.00 and 1.30pm this Sunday, Hawks players will be stopping in at various McDonald’s restaurants giving out mini basketballs, and offering up some tips for budding basketball stars. The Hawks will also be giving out a limited number of tickets to their next home game.
“We are so proud of our long standing partnership with the Wollongong NRE Hawks and looking forward to continuing our partnership and seeing a good result for the boys this year,” said Katia Dwarte, McDonald’s Warilla and Warrawong Licensee.
McDonald’s have also been running a ‘Macca’s Dinner Box shoot-out ‘ competition at each home game at three-quarter time where fans have the chance to win various prizes depending on how far away they can shoot a hoop.
In addition, if the Hawks score 100 points or more at any home game all attendees will receive one free cheeseburger by simply handing in their game ticket at any of the participating restaurants in the Illawarra region.
“With the next home game this Saturday, we encourage the community to get down to the game to show their support for the Hawks”
There will be lots of activities to get involved on the night including the Macca’s Dinner Box Shoot out and cheering the Hawks on to score 100 point s or more where we will celebrate by giving away free cheeseburgers,” added Katia.
To pick up a mini basketball with any transaction this weekend while stocks last, residents can visit any of the McDonald’s restaurants in the Wollongong area including; Albion Park Rail, Dapto, Fairy Meadow ll, Figtree, Warilla, Warrawong, Warrawong Westfield, Wollongong, Wollongong Central and Woonona.
