NBL Weibo Ticket Giveaway – Terms & Conditions


Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Conditions of Entry.

1. Promoter & Sponsors

The Promoter is National Basketball League Pty Ltd (NBL) (ABN: 65164187937) of Level 12, 10 Queens Road, Melbourne, VIC 3004.

2. Promotion states: All Australian States and Territories.

3. Duration of Promotion

The Promotion will commence at 9.00am AEST on Monday 10 July 2017 until 11.59pm AEST on Thursday 13 July 2017 (“Promotion Period”).

4. Advertising of Promotion

The Promotion may be advertised through the Promoter, its advertising agencies, marketing affiliates, the Sponsors and selected charities.

5. Eligibility

Entry is free and is open to Australian residents over the age of 18 but excludes any employee of the Promoter, the Sponsors, or related companies, and any child, parent, spouse or sibling of such employee (“Eligible Entrant”).

6. How the Promotion works

To enter, each Eligible Entrant must complete the following steps:

  1. a) Visit and ‘follow’ the NBL’s Weibo account via;
  2. b) Answer one of the proposed questions posed (in separate posts) during the Promotion Period by commenting on the associated ‘Melbourne United and Team China Ticket Giveaway’ Weibo post of the question you are responding to.

Each Eligible Entrant is entitled to enter the Promotion once only. If an Eligible Entrant enters the Promotion more than once, the first entry by the Eligible Entrant will be deemed as the entry for the purpose of the Promotion and all other subsequent entries will be disregarded.

Time of entry will be at the time the entry is received by the Promoter. Answers to all questions will be judged if they are entered during the Promotion Period.

7. Details of Prize

One (1) winner will be selected from all Eligible Entries from the Promotional Period. The prize winner will receive the following prize:

– Two (2) Courtside tickets to the Melbourne United vs Team China game at Margaret Court Arena, Melbourne, on Sunday 16 July 2017 – valued at $500.00.

The prize outlined above must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if a winner is unable to use the prize as stated. The prize cannot be redeemed for cash and is not transferrable. If the winner is unable to accept the prize, there will be a re-draw. The Promoter is not liable for any additional costs that may be incurred by the winner as a result of this prize including but not limited to interstate travel, accommodation, meals, transfers, etc.

The total prize is valued at AUD $500.00.

8. Draw

All entries will be individually judged to determine the best answer to one of the questions posed during the Promotion Period. The best answer will be determined based on the subjective opinions of the judges and what they perceive as the best creatively executed entry. The judges’ decision in relation to any aspect of the competition will be final and binding on every person who enters. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the decision.

The draw will be conducted at 9.00am AEST on Friday 14 July 2017 at the NBL Office, Level 12, 10 Queens Road, Melbourne, VIC, 3004.

9. Notification

The winner will be notified in writing via Weibo on the same day of the draw (Friday 14 July 2017) and a confirmation email will follow outlining the details of the prize. The winner’s name will be announced on the Promoter’s website and social media channels one day following the draw.

10. Unclaimed Prize

If the prize is not claimed by 2.00pm AEST on Friday 14 July 2017, the winner has waived his right to the prize and the Promoter reserves the right to conduct a re-draw at 3.00pm AEST on Friday 14 July 2017 at the same location as the original draw as necessary to award the prize, subject to any written directions given by the relevant gaming authorities. The unclaimed prize draw winner/s, if any, will be notified in writing at 2.01pm on Friday 14 July 2017.

11. General conditions

a) The Promoter may require the winner to provide proof of identity, age and proof of residency prior to awarding the prize.

b) The winning entrant authorises the Promoter to use their name and photograph for publicity purposes and agrees to reasonably co-operate with the Promoter in publicising the Promotion.

c) If at any time the Promoter considers in good faith that an entry breaches these terms and conditions, the Promoter reserves the right to refuse an entry into the draw at their discretion. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

d) If a winning entry does not comply with these Conditions of Entry, the entry will be discarded and a new winner of the prize will be determined by re-draw until a valid entry is chosen.

e) Each Eligible Entrant agrees that by entering into this competition, the Promoter will be permitted to market the Promoter’s and Sponsors’ products and services to the Eligible Entrant using the Eligible Entrant’s entry details.

f) If for any reason any aspect of this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, mobile network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter which affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion, or invalidate any affected entries, subject to the

approval of the relevant authorities in each State and Territory, where required.
