As impressive as his form was as he helped the Perth Wildcats to the NBL title last season, opponents of Shawn Redhage had best beware as he has stated an intention to bulk up in the off-season.
Speaking to Network Ten’s Lachy Reid, Redhage said that he planned to get stronger in the off-season and was hitting the gym to add additional muscle.
“Yeah to bang a little bit more with the big guys, I’d look to put on a little bit more strength and weight,” Redhage said.
Already a renowned hard worker who has had by his own estimation “a week or two off” since joining the Wildcats in 2005, Redhage currently weighs around 100 kilograms but hopes to put on up to four kilos of muscle.
“I think (I weigh) around 99 (or) 100 kilos, so if I could get two or three, maybe four kilos on I think that would help me come the season. ”
