The National Basketball League has announced that Townsville Crocodiles’ Head Coach Trevor Gleeson has been reported by a match official and will face the NBL Tribunal.
The report arose from an alleged incident in the second quarter of the Townsville versus Perth Wildcats game at Challenge Stadium in Perth on Sunday night which saw Gleeson ejected from the stadium.
One of the three referees at the game filed an official report on the incident following the match. Under NBL Rules, any report by a game official is automatically referred to the NBL Tribunal.
Gleeson will face two charges as a result - “Grabbing/Pushing/Mishandling Referee/Game Official” and “Unsportsmanlike Behaviour”.
Gleeson now has until 5:00PM AEDT on Tuesday 7 December to respond to the charges and nominate if he wishes them to be heard by telephone or in a formal Tribunal hearing.
