The return of the Sydney Kings to the iiNet National Basketball League Championship will be shown live in Australia on free-to-air TV next Friday night by the NBL’s new broadcast partner ONE HD.
The Kings make their highly-anticipated return to the NBL on Friday 15 October when they play the Melbourne Tigers at the State Netball Hockey Centre (AKA ‘The Cage’) and the game will be shown live on ONE HD from 8:00PM AEDST.
The clash is just one of 15 games to be telecast by ONE HD in the first six weeks of the 2010/11 iiNet NBL Championship, with the opening round clash between traditional rivals the Adelaide 36ers and the Perth Wildcats also set to be telecast on Sunday 17 October.
All nine NBL teams will be covered at least once in the opening six rounds, with reigning NBL Champions and winners of the 2010 Top End Challenge pre-season tournament, the Perth Wildcats, set to be seen five times.
Last season’s runners-up, the Wollongong Hawks, will also feature strongly early in the schedule with four games on Australian TV.
