Recently re-signed Adelaide 36er Nathan Herbert made a successful return to on court action for the Geelong Supercats last weekend.
Herbert, who ruptured his ACL in a 36ers trial game at the start of the 2010/11 campaign which kept him off the court the whole of last season, confidently went about scoring 20 points in his team's big away win over Albury Woodonga.
Herbert has worked extremely hard off the court which has seen him return to the pine a little earlier than expected.
“It was great to be back on court and I had no problems with my knee at all and it has recovered well.”
Herbert added five rebounds to his 20 points on 7-of-14 shooting in only 20 minutes on court.
It has been a “big” month for the popular 'Herbie'; tying the knot with long time partner Sally, followed by their honeymoon in Thailand, re-signing with the 36ers for another season and his comeback game.
“I am really looking forward to the rest of the season with Geelong and then getting back to complete some unfinished business in Adelaide,” the determined Herbert said.
Adelaide meanwhile is still in talks with Gary Ervin’s agent, having two import spots remaining and one Australian to complete their roster.
