SKYCITY Breakers forward BJ Anthony will sit out ten days after a breach of team protocol. Anthony’s breach of the players own expectations and standards has led to a decision from within the team to have Anthony take the time out to consider his commitment to the current Australian National Basketball League campaign.

The team driven suspension is supported by club management and coaching staff, with Head Coach Andrej Lemanis passing the news on to Anthony early this week. The 23 year old power forward was unfit to contribute fully to practice on Saturday after a late night the evening prior and as a consequence will sit out all team practices, games and community work up to and including Thursday 16th February.

Anthony will miss both games against Wollongong in that time, with Josh Bloxham travelling to Wollongong with the team this Friday for Saturday night’s encounter with the Hawks.
