The Wollongong NRE Hawks and Showron Glover have announced today that they have mutually agreed to part ways.

Showron and the team came to this decision over the last week as it had arisen that Showron had some family issues in the US that could not be avoided.

The Wollongong NRE Hawks wish Showron Glover all the best in his future endeavours and on behalf of our fans we thank him for his contribution to the club.

Gordie McLeod and his coaching staff will commence the search for an import replacement immediately.

The Hawks travel to North Queensland with a nine man roster this weekend to take on the Cairns Taipans Friday night and the Townsville Crocodiles on Saturday night.
