The Wollongong NRE Hawks run School Hoops Program is proudly sponsored by IMB and is known as “IMB Zoo School Hoops” program. IMB Zoo School Hoops is targeted to every primary school in the Illawarra region and is about teaching students basketball in a fun and safe environment with a game sense approach.

Since 2009, the Wollongong NRE Hawks have seen well over 10,000 children across the Illawarra as part of the IMB Zoo School Hoops. IMB Zoo School Hoops is a 1 hour basketball skill session, coached by the Wollongong NRE Hawks players and coaching staff within the school.

The Hawks bring their own basketballs for the kids to use and at the end of every session every student leaves with a smile on their face and an autograph from their favourite Hawks player!
