Adam Gibson

Formidable Olympic Guard Adam Gibson has an ice cold demeanor, razor sharp shooting and an aggressive defensive style.

A nightmare for opposing ball-handlers with his nagging confrontational defence the Tasmanian is well on his way to be one of the top point guards of his generation.

Gibson attended the Australian Institute of Sport (2004-2005) and made his debut with the Brisbane Bullets in September 2005, establishing himself as one of the best young Australian talents in the NBL. He won a championship with the South Dragons in the 2008/09 season and was also judged the NBL’s Best Defensive Player for that year.

Gibson was selected as a member of the Australian Boomers for the London 2012 Olympics and was selected for the Australian Boomers post Beijing Olympic Squad, a larger group of athletes from which the 12-man Olympic team would be named. He also represented Australia at the 2010 FIBA World Championship in Turkey.

He joined the Adelaide 36ers for the Season 2012/13 as co-captain with Nathan Crosswell and in 2013/14 Gibson was the sole captain of the team.
