Shawn Redhage


2014/15: It was a season of big milestone’s for Shawn Redhage, as he passed club legends Mike Ellis and Eric Watterson on the Wildcats all-time games-played list. He first reached 300 NBL games, then 300 Wildcats games to become one of the club’s all-time greats. On the court he again showed age is no barrier, averaging 11.4 points per game, 3.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists. A foot injury meant he sat out the Wildcats finals campaign.

Career: The Arizona State University product arrived at the Wildcats from the NZ Breakers in 2005. From then on he went about establishing himself as a club legend, winning the Gordon Ellis Medal as the team’s most valuable player six times – the most in the club’s history. He was captain of the club from 2009 to 2013 and led the Wildcats to the 2010 Championship. Redhage became an Olympian in 2008 and in 2013 became a Championship player in Puerto Rico with Piratas de Quebradillas. In 2014 he became a tw-time NBL Champion with the Wildcats. Redhage has averaged 16.9 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game throughout his NBL career.
