The Skytrans Cairns Taipans are poised to bite into the new movement after the club underwent a massive overhaul from last season both on and off the court. The newly established Taipans Basketball Inc has been formed to foster the community loyalty generated over the past 10 years.

A true not-for-profit organisation, the Taipans will link directly with the grass roots of the sport, through community partners. Supporting the Taipans will not only provide you with the thrill and entertainment of game nights, it also becomes a contribution to the Cairns community.

Once again I would like to sincerely thank the Foundation and Syndicate members who, in early 2009 through their unprecedented generosity have saved the club from disappearing from the sporting landscape.
