HUDSON has been recruited straight out of college after a distinguished four-year career at Oakland University was a huge part of the school’s back-to-back NCAA tournament appearances. A scrapping post player, Hudson is an attractive addition for the Blaze not just for his offensive ability close to the basket but his rebounding power, especially on the offensive boards.
 
Keen to learn and willing to do whatever it takes to help the Blaze to a winning season, the man nicknamed “Will the Thrill’’ is already fitting in with his new teammates on the Coast.

·         Has the strength and size to dominate the post but also gets up and down the court well

·         Very strong on the offensive glass and set a single-season record with his 133 offensive rebounds for Oakland University in his senior year

·         Sought advice from former NBL import Mike Helms, also an Oakland Grizzlies graduate, on the Australian league before signing with the Blaze

·         Ended his college career on a high with 14 points and 10 rebounds against No. 8 Texas in the NCAA tournament

·         Shot 67 per cent from the floor during his college career to become just the 29th player in his school’s history to reach 1000 points
