CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
Wilcher joined the Melbourne Tigers as a development player in 2011/12. Last season Wilcher attended Central Wyoming College in America and played Division 1 College basketball. In 2009 he was selected to play in the Australian Under 19s Oceania Tournament where he travelled to the Pacific paradise island of Saipan, and won a Gold medal.
Wilcher was also captain of the Victorian Metro Under 20’s Men’s team who won the national title at the 2010 Australian Championships. Throughout the tournament he averaged an impressive 16 points, 5.5 assists and 2.3 rebounds per game and proved to be one of the most valuable players of the tournament.
In 2010 Wilcher was selected to attend the FIBA Basketball Without Borders Asia Camp in Singapore. The camp was organised by FIBA and the NBA targeting the top 60 youth basketball players as selected by FIBA.
This NBL off season Wilcher has played a key role with the Sandringham Sabres in the Crazy John’s SEABL Mens league averaging 10.3 points and 2.7 assists over 23 games playing alongside former Melbourne Tiger Nathan Crosswell. In 2009 Wilcher was named MVP of the SEABL D League, also with Sandringam.
