The first of what will become an annual Gemmill Homes Variety Shield clash is in the books after last Friday night's Perth Wildcats win over the Melbourne Tigers and it was a tremendous success for all involved.

Last Friday's game between the Perth Wildcats and Melbourne Tigers was the inaugural Gemmill Homes Variety Shield with the special charity match raising awareness and funds for Variety, the children's charity of Western Australia.

This game saw the Perth Wildcats wear their white uniform featuring the combined Gemmill Homes/Variety event logo. The singlets of players from the Wildcats worn in the game are now being auctioned off with the proceeds all going to Variety.

In addition to singing the national anthem prior to the game, members of Variety were in attendance as well to collect donations and the Wildcats' fans inside The Jungle were extremely generous providing around $2000 on the night.

The online auction that sees the playing singlets of each of the Perth Wildcats players, who wore the specially designed uniform featuring the Gemmill Homes Variety Shield logo, closes Friday January 20.

For your chance to bid for one of the players' singlets and also help out an extremely worthwhile cause, please head to https://auctiondesq.imgstg.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=main&OrgID=5295 and make your bid now!
