In this example, the White team is in possession of the ball in their frontcourt when White 7’s pass is deliberately kicked by Red 3 with 8 seconds remaining on the shot clock. The referee calls a kicked ball violation and awards the ball to the White team from the sideline in their frontcourt. This is a shot clock reset to 14 seconds for the White team.
