Breaker sustains season-ending injury

New Zealand import Rob Baker II will miss the remainder of the NBL26 season through a knee injury.
The New Zealand Breakers announced on Tuesday that import Rob Baker II would miss the remainder of the Hungry Jack's NBL26 season through an ACL injury.
The American big man sustained a rupture to the ACL in his right knee during the club's HoopsFest win over Cairns in Perth.
Through his 21 games for the Breakers this season, the 27-year-old was averaging 10.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, 0.7 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.8 blocks per game for Petteri Koponen's side.
The Breakers, who are 10-15 on the season, next play South East Melbourne on Wednesday night, in an Ignite Cup fixture at the State Basketball Centre.
That matchup tips off at 7.30pm AEDT, live on ESPN.
