NBL Tipping Rules

Before you start tipping, make sure you understand how the competition works.

1. Picking Winners

  • You must select the team you believe will win each NBL game in a round.
  • A correct tip earns you 1 point (unless your competition has custom scoring set by the organiser).
  • If the game goes to overtime, the final result after overtime determines the winning tip.

2. Tip Deadlines

  • All tips must be submitted 1 hour before tip-off of each individual game.
  • Once a game has started, your tip for that match is locked and cannot be changed.
  • If you do not submit a tip before tip-off, you will receive zero points for that game (unless your competition uses an automatic selection rule).

3. Round Tipping

  • Tipping runs across the NBL regular season and Finals.
  • Each round includes all scheduled NBL games within that round.
  • Finals games are tipped in the same way as regular season games.

4. Leaderboard Rankings

  • Participants are ranked by total points earned.
  • If two or more participants are tied on points, ranking may be decided by:
    • Total correct tips
    • Margin predictions (if enabled)
    • Or shared position (depending on competition settings)

5. Changing Your Tips

  • You can update your selections as many times as you like before tip-off.
  • Always double-check your tips are saved before the game begins.

6. Winning the Competition

  • The participant with the highest total points at the end of the season is declared the winner.
  • Prizes (if any) are determined by the competition organiser.
