Reigning Larry Sengstock Medalist Kendric Davis has yet to touch down in Sydney as the Kings gear up to defend their championship, with CODE Sports reporting the star guard is currently navigating a passport issue.

A Kings source confirmed to CODE Sports that it's "an administration issue that we are working through as quickly as we can."

Davis was originally slated to arrive in early August for the start of the Kings' pre-season, but he now isn't expected to arrive until later this week, just weeks out from the start of the Hungry Jack's NBL27 Season.

The star guard's re-signing was the marquee move of the Kings' off-season, locking in his return to lead the reigning champions once again.

Sydney opens its CODE Sports NBL Blitz campaign in Bendigo next Wednesday night.
