Talking points

Who is the top dog?
The top two in the standings will battle it out to see who claims early bragging rights as the best in the league at this point of the season.

United are yet to taste defeat and Adelaide will be hoping they have enough firepower to do just that.

Master vs Apprentice
Bryce Cotton has been virtually unstoppable this season, averaging a career-high 30 points per game. Dean Vickerman usually goes to Shea Ili to limit Cotton’s production, but with him sidelined due to a hamstring injury, Dash Daniels will get his chance.

Highly touted as one of the best defenders in the world for his age, Daniels will get his first major test against the five-time MVP.

What they're saying

United coach Dean Vickerman ahead of the top-of-the-table clash:
“It’s going to be a sold out John Cain Arena, which we always look forward to.

“Challenge yourself against Bryce (Cotton) who’s playing at a phenomenal level right now. Obviously Shea (Ili) has always had the job of slowing him down, but now that falls on Tyson and Dash and the whole group.

“We’re really looking forward to playing this game on Sunday.”

36ers guard Flynn Cameron on playing against his old team:
“It [playing against my old side at John Cain Arena] is definitely something that's special to me.

“Obviously I want to beat my old side. I’ve still got a lot of close connections there and still a lot of relationships and friendships over there, so I think it’ll be a great game.

“[We] definitely [focus on the] process, game by game, but because they're undefeated, I'd say they've got more pressure on them.

"We're slowly building. Obviously, five and one so we're taking the game-by-game, trying to get better each day.”
