Talking points

Can they co-exist?
The Kings are in a slump and there are questions around how their two new signings of Matthew Dellavedova and Kendric Davis can work together.

Currently they are both at their best when the other is on the bench, but Brian Goorjian said in the press conference on Thursday that he has complete faith it will work out.

Tasmania rested and ready
Scott Roth has been begging for his team to get a rest, after playing five of their first seven games on the road.

Now, he’s had his wish granted, with the JackJumpers last game over a week ago in New Zealand, where they suffered a tough loss. Even though they head on the road again, the chance to feel fresh should help them come out strong.

What they're saying

Kings coach Brian Goorjian on what his team need to improve on for their clash with Tasmania:
"The challenge of rebounding the ball is a big one for us, because of our size if a factor.

"The other we've talked about is we have got to figure out a better way to do a consistent job on the defensive end of the floor, which starts on the ball."

JackJumpers coach Scott Roth on his side's standing after their road-heavy schedule:
"I'd be lying to you if I said I thought we'd be sitting here 4-3 with the travel schedule that we've concurred.

"It's not quite over yet with seven of our first nine on the road and we're not really done with that phase yet, and then obviously multiple teams are going through injuries and we're in our injury mode also right now.

"To be sitting 4-3 with what we've gone through has been a really good sign of our guys and the work they're putting in."
