Luke Travers’ focus is firmly on earning another opportunity in the NBA, with the former NBL star out to take care of some unfinished business in the League.

The 24-year-old played 24 games for the Cleveland Cavaliers across the past two seasons and posted impressive numbers in the G League, averaging 17.1 points, 8.8 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.9 steals.

However, Travers was waived by the Cavaliers in February and is now back at Summer League, hoping to earn another chance with an NBA team.

Asked whether a return to the NBL was on the cards, Travers said his focus remained on the NBA, at least for now.

“I haven’t really thought about it, to be honest,” he said.

“All my focus was on Summer League the last couple of months. I’ve been out in Arizona working out, so the main focus is the NBA right now.

“Once that’s all passed, then I’ll think about it.”

NBL teams will be keeping a close eye on the former Perth Wildcats and Melbourne United star as he looks to impress in Las Vegas with the Milwaukee Bucks.

“New atmosphere, new team, so figuring out a role and stuff like that. It’s a little different,” he said.

“Obviously, it’s going to take some time, but I haven’t really got that on my hands. I’ve got to figure it out pretty quickly and hopefully get better as the week goes on.”

Travers will line up alongside several NBL alumni with the Bucks over the next week, including Jesse Edwards, Malique Lewis and Kuany Kuany.

“Obviously, he’s (Lewis) been there the last couple of years, so I haven’t really been able to keep up with it all. There’s a bit of a time difference and stuff, so it’s good to hear his experiences and how he’s going out there as well. It seems like he’s really enjoyed it,” Travers said of the former Next Star.
