$300K for four weeks? No, Cotton chose unfinished business

Bryce Cotton turned down a lucrative off-season payday in China to chase unfinished business in Adelaide.

Ahead of his first home game of the Hungry Jack's NBL27 Season, the six-time MVP has revealed how he plans to help the 36ers go one step further than last campaign.

Cotton's Sixers came within seconds of the franchise's fifth championship in NBL26, before falling to the Sydney Kings in overtime.

The three-time champion used that heartbreak as fuel through a demanding off-season, training in Australia and the United States while also making his Boomers debut.

CODE Sports reports the 34-year-old knocked back an approach from the Shanghai Sharks during the break, worth upwards of $300,000 for a month's work.

Asked what his training regime involved, Cotton kept his cards close to his chest.

"I don't give away my secrets, I'll let you know once I'm done playing," he said.

"I think if you have a routine that you have found success with and your body responds well to it, then you continue to do it.

"You might find a one per cent here or there to add something but the foundation remains the same."

Cotton and the 1-1 Sixers will look to bounce back when they host Cairns at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Sunday from 4pm AEST, live on ESPN.
