The New Zealand Breakers announced on Tuesday that one of the Tall Blacks’ most exciting young talents, Carlin Davison, has officially re-signed with the club on a new one-year contract.
After joining the club as a Development Player during the Hungry Jack’s NBL25 Season, Davison had a breakout 2025-26 campaign, posting career-highs in points (5.2), rebounds (3.3), assists (1.2), blocks (0.3), field goal percentage (51.1) and free-throw percentage (50).
"I am stoked to be back in the Breakers squad as we build from the momentum of our successful Ignite Cup win," Davison said.
Davison joins a Breakers core that includes Parker Jackson-Cartwright, Sam Mennenga, Dejan Vasiljevic, Reuben Te Rangi, Izayah Le’Afa and Preston Le Gassick.
"To take on the best in this League, we need to recruit talent that is competitive in our Trans-Tasman league," said Breakers President of Basketball Operations, Dillon Boucher.
"Carlin is a premier Kiwi prospect, and his signing demonstrates the BNZ Breakers’ commitment to developing local talent.
"We will integrate our homegrown talent with international player depth and experience, to provide the competitive edge needed to bring more silverware home to Aotearoa."
Davison is currently playing in the New Zealand NBL, averaging 13.8 points, 7.3 rebounds, 8.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game for Wellington.
