Talking points
Record breaking Boomers
The Boomers flexed their muscle on Friday against Guam as they hit a FIBA World Cup Qualifiers record 24 three-pointers on their way to a 72-point win. While Tyrese Proctor led the charge, Angus Glover, Bryce Cotton, Jack McVeigh and Reyne Smith chipped in to combine for 22 makes.
The 72-point in was also the largest every victory in this stage of the qualifiers.
Spreading the love
The Boomers had equal contributors across the entire first game, with six players finishing in double figures. Coach Adam Caporn has been preaching that he will get through his rotation and give everyone a chance to compete.
