"I just want a winner": Star's expectations for new coach

Brisbane Bullets star Casey Prather wants the club's new head coach to be a "winner".
The Brisbane Bullets are in a crossroads moment for the franchise and one of their stars knows it.
Sitting at 6-15, the Bullets are staring down the barrel on another campaign without post-season hoops, which would make it the ninth time in 10 seasons they've missed Finals.
They've shown improvement since Darryl McDonald took over from Stu Lash, with a win over New Zealand and near upset against Melbourne United.
But for star player Casey Prather, currently sidelined with a knee injury, only one thing mattes.
“I just want a winner [of a coach], however that looks. Someone who’s going to push us to become the best that we can be as a team,” Prather told CODE Sports.
“As far as how that looks, I don’t really know and I really don’t care that much, as long as we can get some wins and he can fill this group with confidence and make us better.
“I’ve played for some great coaches when we’ve flopped and I’ve played for some pretty bad coaches that surprisingly won. As long as you win, that’s all that really matters to me.”
The Bullets will look to return to the winners' circle when they travel to Qudos Bank Arena on Tuesday to face the Sydney Kings from 7.30pm AEDT, live on ESPN.
