Davis wins NBL26 Championship Series MVP

Kendric Davis has been crowded the Hungry Jack's NBL26 Championship Series MVP.

Davis was presented the Larry Sengstock Trophy after a 35-point, 14-assist haul in the Game 5 decider.

"I'm lost for words right now," he said.

"Goorj (Brian Goorjian)... he gave me an opportunity when everybody tried to bash my name. He said 'I believe in you son. I'm going to make you a better man'."

Davis paid tribute to his teammates, including Xavier Cooks an Matthew Dellavedova, as well as the record crowd in Sydney.

"I couldn't be prouder of my team," he said.

Davis signed off with a pointed message.

"It's my time now."
