The Cairns Taipans have made their first big move of the Hungry Jack’s NBL27 Free Agency, by reportedly signing an Australian Boomer.

According to ESPN’s Olgun Uluc, the Taipans have signed big man Keanu Pinder to a one-year deal.

Pinder, who last season played in the Japanese B.League with the Akita Northern Happinets, returns to the Taipans, where he spent the NBL22 and NBL23 campaigns.

The 30-year-old, who has also spent time with Adelaide and Perth during his 142 NBL games, has career averages of 11.8 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game.

The two-time NBL Most Improved award winner and NBL23 All-NBL Second Team member joins a Taipans core of Jack McVeigh and Reyne Smith.
