REPORT: Hawks to cut ties with NBL25 champion

They're only one game into the Hungry Jack's NBL27 Season, but the Illawarra Hawks are reportedly preparing to make roster moves.

According to ESPN's Olgun Uluc, the Hawks are preparing to part ways with import Darius Days.

The American forward, who helped the Hawks win the NBL25 championship, played less than seven minutes in the Hawks' 95-81 loss to New Zealand on Sunday, contributing 3 rebounds.

Uluc reports that Days was informed of the decision on Tuesday, with the club putting strong consideration into signing an import centre to support starter Sam Froling.

The Hawks' next game is on Friday, September 25 against the Bullets at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.
