Kings' defensive dynamo sidelined

The Sydney Kings will be without one of their stars during Monday's blockbuster with the South East Melbourne Phoenix.

Defensive dynamo Bul Kuol has been ruled out of the Round 15 fixture due to a knee injury, sustained during Friday's loss to the Adelaide 36ers.

The Harbour City side said the South Sudanese international will undergo further review this week to determine his return to play timeline.

In positive news for the Kings, reigning NBL Sixth Man of the Year Kouat Noi (illness) will return to the lineup for the Qudos Bank Arena clash.

Monday's fixture, between two of the competition's top four sides, tips off at 7.30pm AEDT, live on ESPN.
