The NBL is bringing a brand-new creator competition to the League this season, the NBL’s Most Valuable Creator (NBLMVC), giving creators across Australia and New Zealand the chance to bring basketball into their world, their way.

NBLMVC is open to anyone aged 16 and over, whether you’re an emerging creator just starting out or an established creator with a large following. You also don’t need to be a basketball or sports creator to get involved. Whether your content is focused on comedy, music, lifestyle, gaming, fashion or something completely different, the competition is about finding your own way to basketball.

With a $100,000 prize pool up for grabs, creators will compete across the full NBL season, from Round 3 through to the end of the regular season, with the winner ultimately crowned the NBLMVC.

The competition is designed to give creators a new pathway into the NBL without asking them to change what they do. Instead, it’s about bringing basketball into the worlds they have already built and giving them the freedom to tell their stories in a way that feels authentic to them.

How to enter:

Entering is simple. Creators can register at nbl.com.au/mvc and create content that brings basketball to life in their own way. Entries use the single tag @NBL, making it easy to get involved and share your work.

NBLMVC isn’t limited to just Instagram, Facebook or TikTok, either. Content created for platforms including YouTube, podcasts, SoundCloud and Twitch can also be eligible, provided it is supported by a tagged post on the main social platforms.

So whether you’re already an established creator or you’re just getting started, NBLMVC is your chance to bring your creativity to the game and show the NBL what basketball looks like through your eyes.

Registrations are now open at nbl.com.au/mvc. Basketball, your story, your way.
