Josh King has committed his long-term future to South East Melbourne, signing a three-year extension as he looks to build on the momentum of his first two seasons and lead the Phoenix to their maiden NBL Championship.

Speaking after the announcement at the club’s luncheon at The Glasshouse, King reflected on the culture established during his tenure, the challenge of remaining among the NBL’s leading contenders and the club’s ongoing search for a point guard with more than 100 games of NBA experience.

He also discussed the Phoenix’s remaining roster decisions and why he believes the best years for both South East Melbourne and the League are still to come.
