Melbourne United announced on Wednesday that Malith Machar is set to return to the team for the Hungry Jack's NBL27 Season.
Coming off a campaign that saw him take to the court in 24 games, forward Machar has continued to grow as a dangerous offensive player and a talented defender.

Machar, 26, said he had great anticipation for next season, while also outlining his goals with the team.
“I’m really excited for next season,” Machar said.
“Last year was good for me; I just gained a lot of confidence.
“I got to a point where I really felt like I belonged and could help us win at the NBL level.
“As a guy that comes off the bench, you're always hungry to contribute to a team's win.
“My goal was always just to do whatever I can to help the team win.
“You can't be shy when your time comes, and you’re put on the court, so I wanted to be aggressive.”
Having coached Machar across the past few seasons, Melbourne United assistant coach Rhys Carter outlined his belief that the wing is ready to contribute to winning basketball at the NBL level.
“He's made massive gains in his strength and physicality from when he first came to us,” Carter said.
“He’s put on weight, put on strength, and then has become much more confident with the speed of the game at the NBL level.
“He’s been elite at the NBL1 level for a number of years, and that’s been the same so far this season.”
Machar, who is averaging 20.8 points per game for Sandringham in NBL1 South, joins Joe Ingles, Chris Goulding, Shea Ili, Sam Waardenburg, Fabijan Krslovic, Kyle Bowen and Dash Daniels as rostered players for NBL27.
