The Adelaide 36ers are reportedly progressing toward a parting of ways with guard Dejan Vasiljevic.
According to ESPN’s Olgun Uluc, the Sixers, fresh off an appearance in the Hungry Jack’s NBL26 Championship Series, are working with sharpshooter Vasiljevic on a release from his contract, which ran until the end of the 2026-27 season.
Vasiljevic started his NBL career with the Sydney Kings, helping them win two championships across three seasons.
The 28-year-old then spent three seasons in the City of Churches, playing a key role in the Sixers reaching their first Championship Series since 2017-18.
Across his six seasons in the NBL, Vasiljevic has posted averages of 14.3 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 179 appearances.
If Vasiljevic does on fact leave Adelaide, it leaves six-time MVP Bryce Cotton, Zylan Cheatham, Flynn Cameron, Isaac Humphries, Isaac White, and Ben Griscti as contracted players on Mike Wells' roster for next season.
