REPORT: 36ers re-sign key big man

The Adelaide 36ers have received a huge boost on the eve of their highly anticipated Hungry Jack’s NBL26 Championship Series with Sydney.

According to CODE Sports, big man Nick Rakocevic is set to re-sign with the Adelaide 36ers until the end of the 2026-27 season.

Rakocevic, who is averaging 8.9 points and 6.5 rebounds a game, has become a key piece of Mike Wells’ bench unit, especially during the team’s post-season run.

Once the deal is done, Rakocevic will join Bryce Cotton, Zylan Cheatham, Flynn Cameron, Isaac Humphries, Dejan Vasiljevic, Isaac White, Ben Griscti and Michael Harrus (mutual option) under contract for the Sixers next season.

The NBL26 Championships Series, between Sydney and Adelaide, tips off at Qudos Bank Arena on Saturday at 7pm AEDT, live on ESPN and 10 Drama.
