Adelaide 36ers big man Isaac Humphries says his team "absolutely" have championship belief following Sunday's comeback win over Perth.

As the dust settles on the Adelaide 36ers' miraculous comeback win in Perth, Isaac Humphries believes the belief in his team has never been stronger.

“After that win against the South East Melbourne Phoenix before the FIBA Break, we all looked at each other and said we very well may win this,” the star big man said on Monday.

“Then we went into the break with that awesome mentality.

“That belief is absolutely there now.”

The 36ers became the first team in a decade to come back and win a game after being down 20 points in the fourth quarter, and it was a moment that Bryce Cotton believed was the wildest game he had been a part of.

“We sat in the locker room afterwards Bryce was like ‘that’s the craziest game I’ve ever been part of.

“And I’m like ‘yeah, that’s because you’ve been doing that to us for the last 10 years, so we’ve been part of that from you',” Humphries laughed.

The heroics in the fourth quarter went far beyond just one player, although the five-time MVP certainly had his moments, but the whole team stood up and showed incredible determination.

“Being relentless and having that fight and consistent will to win… that’s something that we want to hang our hats on and that’s how we want to play,” Humphries added.

“We expect to win every game, we think we can win every game and we can beat anybody.”

In terms of the specific comeback, Humphries provided a unique insight into what was going through his mind during that fourth quarter run.

“I was off at the time when I had my little light bulb moment… where I thought we were going to win," he said.

“Then you have Bryce Cotton on your team. So you’re kind of like we very well may win because he does some crazy stuff.”

Humphries' 36ers host Melbourne United on Friday in a top of the table clash at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.

The Round 12 fixture tips off at 7.30pm AEDT, live on ESPN.
