He’s only three games and a few weeks into his time in the Hungry Jack’s NBL, but NBA talent Brandon Knight has been blown away by the League.
During a guest appearance on this week’s NBL Overtime, the 451-game talent explained why he’s been so impressed by the 10-team competition.
“It [the NBL] has exceeded it [my expectations],” Knight said.
“The guys here, they play hard, it’s hard-nosed.
“The scouting reports are intense, they’re detailed, and from looking at it game to game and the play of the other guys around the League, it’s exceeded my expectations.
“I’ve always heard how high-level this League is, so getting the chance to play and really now watch it and be immersed in it, [highlights just] how high-level it is.
“It also shows how the League has grown, [and continues to].
“I’ve had former teammates play here for a while. I’ve had friends come play here, and they’ve always told me about it. But you don’t really know until you get into it.
“The competition is intense, it’s fierce, and it’s a tough matchup every night.
“If you don’t fight [and compete], it could get ugly.
“It’s beautiful, I love it, and it’s been an amazing experience thus far.”
The Wildcats are 2-1 with Knight in the lineup and will look to improve on that when they host Sydney in Wednesday’s Ignite Cup fixture at RAC Arena.
This match tips off at 9.30pm AEDT, live on ESPN.
